Part 01 - Using the Power of Peace to Create

Peace is power has been my greatest revelation--in large thanks to this illustration I drew in the fall and had printed in March.

I'm working on restocking my shop and if I had one problem it would be falling in love with every piece!

Part 02 - There's Magic in These Head Wraps

After one of my lovely Chapter Members reached out to commission a hand-painted head wrap/bandana, I leapt into finally creating some; doing so had been a wish of mine for quite

some time.

Bonus point for this very special hat.

Part 03 - Dressing Like Myself Again

I'll always remember walking into a fast fashion store many years ago, seeking out a pink garment and unable to find one because that color wasn't in season.

That was when I realized:

she who makes the clothes

controls those who wear them.

Realizing companies control our choices by dictating what kind of clothes are available to us when was when I got serious about my sewing practice.

This is my version of knee-length; a skirt that actually hits my knee swallows me up.

This was my go-to silhouette in college: loose-fitting top with a body con skirt rawr!

The Miracle Dress

This two piece set needs special recognition. I began constructing this with no clear plan, thinking it would be a casual outfit for me to where to a craft market.

Once I'd finished painting it, I knew it was and is to be reserved for the most special ocassion I can think of. I'll keep you posted on the first time I wear it should it happen. :)
