Shifting Into A New Timeline (Chappie Membies)
Hello my beautiful darlings!
Thank you for your patience with this week's vlog. As you'll see in the five hour long video, things are picking up in the HD hq and I have been putting in work to make my application season dreams come true.
In my 2024 zine, Notes from the Road, I shared a poem called "Liftoff" which posits that when people say "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take," the true loss of stopping oneself from fear has nothing to do with the results, but with the pleasure of lifting--of reaching towards your proverbial net and fully having your skin in the game.
The greatest gift of this season in my life is finally being "all in" in my life.
Growing up, I'd always reflect on my life with regret---if only I'd done more of this and less of that (sitting on the couch watching T.V. mainly).
I am already looking back at this summer in complete awe at my perseverance and amazement at my resiliency.
