I made three thumbnails for this video, my inaugural HD YouTube channel vlog.
Actually, now that I think about it, I made five.
Here are the top two, though I'm not sure which one is "best."
YouTube has a fancy feature that switches out the thumbnails and tests which one performs better. I'm indulging in this tool for my first few videos to get a better handle on which kind of thumbnail draws in the right crowd for me.
If there's one thing I've learned this summer (and there are so many things I've learned!) it's that authenticity is key for me. Yet there are ways in which my own authenticity has been hijacked and I'm finding I'm still uncovering who it is I really am.
So I'm running this test in the hopes it will show me which form of self expression yield the best results.
In this case, the "best results" are viewers who truly resonate with me.
Let's hope we find each other!
